Dak Ganjeong - Fried Crispy Chicken with Honey Soy Sauce
600g chicken thigh
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup flour
1 Tbsp pineapple juice
2 Tbsp onion juice
Salt and pepper
Honey Soy Sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
5 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1/3 cup pineapple juice
1 Tbsp hot sauce
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and marinate with 2 Tbsp pineapple juice, onion juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the flour and corn starch well then coat the chicken.
Deep fry chicken twice to make it crispy.
Oil the pan with 1Tbsp of vegetable oil and saute the minced garlic.
Add all remaining ingredients for the sauce then boil down over medium heat.
When the sauce has reduced to half, add chicken to the sauce.
Toss it quickly and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Serve and enjoy with beer.
