It will be my privilege to have you on the maiden road-trip of Wanton Abandon, a subsidiary of Kitchen of the World. 7:00 am Meet at the Our Lady of the Abandoned Church

7:30 am Depart for Pista sa Kubo sa Ilog - “Moekbang” Breakfast - Savor the many Kakanins of Marikina, Goto Buffet, Pinagulong, Adobong Marikina, the best Everlasting, Tsokolate at Ensaimadang Marikina and many more. Be entertained in a truly Filipino way.

9:00 am -12:00 pm Sight Seeing - Immerse in the visual offerings of the city and patronize the handmade work of our Marikeño craftsmen and women.

The ancestral home of the father of the shoe industry in the Philippines, Don Laureano Guevarra; the miraculous image of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados; Shoe Museum; Shopping in Shoe and Bag Factories (nice products at bargain prices); See where the hats for the Royal Ascot are made and perhaps buy a hat or two for yourself; Have a glimpse of the smallest book in world; Get to know the mythical Philippine creatures like the manananggal, dwende, tikbalang; View a private collection of beautiful Philippine artifacts.

12:30 – 4:00 pm “Moekbang” Lunch - Kusina ni Kambal’s Sinigang sa Mais at Kare-Kare, Marikina Lechon, Rellenong Marikeño, Pakalog, Halo-Halo, etc.

 
 

Cooking Lesson - Learn to make the shoe capital’s specialties how to make beautiful Everlasting – Marikina’s meatlof; Waknatoy – Marikina’s Menudo; My favorite Sinigang na Mais ni Irma of Kusina ni Kambal.

“Moekbang” Meryenda - My favorite Pancit in Marikina is Pancit Malabon, Special Sorbetes, Marikina Barbecue, Spanish Bread and etc.
